I think Stepaniak’s raw strength may give him a bit of a boost and may give him a slight bump in the ratings, while Hanson comes in around the standard 60 for his draft slot. But when you look at similarly drafted offensive linemen, they both graded as a 60. Simon Stepaniak and Jake Hanson were drafted back to back and players in their draft slots were graded 65 and 66 overall. Drew Forbes was drafted in a similar position a season ago and graded 64. Even 68 may be pushing it based on their recent ratings for him.Īs for the rookies, Runyan I gave a 65 too because I think he’ll get a slight bump on name recognition. Turner should probably be graded right around 70 as well, but Madden’s never graded him very well. Lane Taylor I slightly adjusted from 69 to 70, and Billy Turner I moved from 66 to 68. Moving to an 84 overall may be a bit high, but he’s more than deserving and should improve as a player in 2020. Jenkins finished last season graded as a 79 overall, but I think he’s due for a major jump based off his overall performance in 2019. I changed three existing players, with Elgton Jenkins being the main beneficiary. The vast majority of players on this list I didn’t move off of their final grades.
2021 packer roster free#
If someone gets left off, I’d expect it to be John Leglue who would then be chilling in the free agent pool. That seems fairly aggressive, but all the players were already created last year, save for the three, sixth round picks – and I doubt they leave those three players off.

Maybe the biggest question here is if Madden will actually stock the Packers’ offensive line with 14 players to start the season. I’m predicting Dexter Williams and Tyler Ervin will start with the same grades they finished with a season ago. So if I were a betting man, I’d guess that Dillon comes in right at or around that 72 mark. The actual number 62 pick was Andy Isabella and his rating was also a 72. Last season, Miles Sanders and Darrell Henderson were selected 53 rd, and 70 th, respectively and both were ranked 72 overall. Dillon, he seems like one of the easiest players to predict. I think his Madden 21 rating will reflect closer to his launch grade and come in around a 76.Īs for A.J. He should probably be higher, but I don’t think they are going to put him in the 90’s quite yet.įor Jamaal Williams, he launched as a 76 and finished as a 78. I expect Jones will launch at his peak from a season ago as an 88 overall. But I’m going to go ahead and say Boyle gets a slight increase and launches at 62 overall.Īaron Jones was one of the Packers’ biggest Madden risers a season ago, as he started the season ranked 82 overall, and ended ranked 87. Again, I’m wondering how much time, effort, and energy they are going to spend upgrading players at the bottom of the roster. Based on the fact that Love is coming off a down year at Utah State, I’m going to guess that he starts as a 70 and will need to work his way up from there.Īs for Tim Boyle, he finished the season as a 59 and it’s quite possible he stays right at that rating. So it’s safe to assume that Love will fall somewhere between Haskins’ 72 and Lock’s 67. Dwayne Haskins was a 72, and Drew Lock was a 67. While Rodgers finished as an 89 overall, my guess is that his name value will bump him back over 90 and they will hedge their bets that Rodgers continues to play at a high level.Īs for Jordan Love, a 70 may seem low for a first round draft pick, but 1 st overall pick Kyler Murray was graded only a 73 at launch a season ago. In other words, he spent the entire season ranked somewhere between 88 and 91. By the end of the season his final grade was 89. He launched as a 90 overall, peaked at a 91 during weeks 8-14, and had three total weeks where he hit his lowest grade, an 88 overall. So I thought for today, I’d take my best guess at what the Packers’ Madden 2021 launch roster will look like, both with personnel, and overall ratings.Īaron Rodgers stayed pretty steady with his Madden rating a season ago.
2021 packer roster update#
There will undoubtedly be some significant movement at the top of the roster, but are they really going to take the time to update Cole Madison’s rating? Probably not. I’d also think that many of the ratings that players ended with in Madden 20, will be close to, if not exactly, what their rating will look like in Madden 21. If I had to guess, I’m willing to go out on a limb that in the middle of a pandemic, EA Sports likely didn’t have the same time and resources to put into Madden 2021 as they have in previous games, and the roster ratings will likely look very similar to what they’ve looked like in recent years. Earlier this week, EA Sports launched their first trailer for Madden 2021, and that seemed to get everyone at least a little bit hyped up for Madden to be back.Īt this point, there have been no ratings leaks, and we have been given no indication if roster ratings will remain the same or go through any sort of makeover for the upcoming season.
